Privacy Policy

Information you give us. When you use the “Request More Information” form on a facility page, we collect your name, phone number, and email address, plus the details you choose to provide: your relationship to the senior, estimated move-in timeline, the types of care you’re interested in, and any message. If you email us, we receive whatever you include.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs (for example, IP address, browser type, and pages requested) to operate and secure the site.

Privacy-friendly analytics. We use cookieless analytics (currently Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights) to measure aggregate traffic and site performance — which pages are visited, how fast they load, and how often each printable facility list (PDF) is downloaded. These are counts only: it sets no cookies, builds no profile of you, records nothing about who downloaded a file, and does not track you across other websites.

What we don’t collect. We do not require accounts, and we do not use advertising trackers, third-party marketing pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies.

• To follow up with you about your request.
• To operate, secure, and improve the website.
• To comply with the law and respond to lawful requests.

The care-related details you share (such as care needs) may be sensitive. We use them only to respond to your inquiry — not to infer characteristics about you, and not for advertising.

We share your information only with service providers that help us run the site, and only as needed:

• Email delivery (currently Resend) — to send the referral form to our inbox.
• Website hosting (currently Vercel) — to operate the site and process server logs.
• Analytics (currently Vercel Analytics) — cookieless, aggregate traffic and performance only.

We do not sell or share your personal information for money or for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we never have. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We keep referral inquiries only as long as needed to respond and keep a reasonable business record, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know / access the personal information we hold about you.
• Delete it.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Opt out of sale/sharing — not applicable, since we don’t sell or share.
• Limit use of sensitive information — we already use it only to respond to you.
• Non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these, email support@sacramentocaredirectory.com. We’ll verify your request (typically by confirming the email or details you submitted) and respond within the timeframes the law requires (generally 45 days).

The site is intended for adults arranging care and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Facility websites, the official licensing records, and Google Maps links are operated by others and have their own privacy practices. The facility listings themselves come from public California licensing records about businesses — they are not personal information about site visitors.

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
