Referral Disclosure
Last updated: July 5, 2026
SacramentoCare Directory (“we,” “us”) is a free, local directory of licensed elder-care facilities in Sacramento County, California. We believe families deserve to know exactly how a referral service makes money before they rely on it. Here is ours, in plain language.
It is always free to families
We never charge you to use the directory, to submit an inquiry, or to be connected with care. There is no fee, subscription, or charge of any kind to families or the people they are helping.
How we are compensated
When a family we refer moves into a community, we may receive compensation — either from that community or from a licensed local senior-care advisor we partner with to help families through the decision. This is the standard way senior-care referral services are paid, and it is what lets us offer our help at no cost to you.
Being paid on a move-in does not mean we steer you. Our listings are built from public California licensing records, and our job is to help you find the right fit — not the one that pays us most.
What our service does
- Maintain a directory of licensed Sacramento County elder-care facilities, sourced from official state and federal records.
- Take your inquiry (the “Request Information” and “Book a Tour” forms) and help connect you with appropriate care.
- Where helpful, hand your inquiry to a licensed local senior-care advisor who can guide you through touring, comparing, and moving in.
We are a directory and referral service. We are not a care provider, and we do not operate any facility.
Your reference number
When you submit an inquiry, we give you a reference number. It lets you — and any advisor we connect you with — refer back to your specific request. We keep records of our referrals and this disclosure, as required by California law.
